Elections will be held in five states in India including Punjab in 2012. Election Commission of India has indicated that Elections in Punjab will be held in the month of February 2012. Along with Punjab elections will also be held in 4 other states including UP, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur.
Election Commission of India has travelled all the states and is planning to announce the elections in Punjab and 4 other states in the month of February. February month is preferable as the weather is good and it will also be held before the Board Exams to be held in March and April in these states.
