PRESS NOTE
ARMY RECRUITMENT RALLY FOR CANDIDATES OF KANGRA AND CHAMBA DISTRICTS
FROM 12 FEB TO 21 FEB 2018 AT C.S. K AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY PALAMPUR
1. Recruitment will be carried out through recruitment rally at C.S.K H.P. Krishi
Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur (HP) from 12 Feb 2018 to 21 Feb 2018. Eligible candidates are
advised to register their name online on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Online registration
will be opened on website wef 14 December 2017 to 27 January 2018.
Candidates will be able to
download their Admit cards after 27 January 2018. Admit Card to be printed (Black & White) on A4
size paper duly affixed colour passport size photograph. Bar Code should be printed clearly on
the Admit Card. Take part in the rect rally alongwith admit card and all original documents.
No
candidate will be permitted for rect rally without all documents.
2. RALLY SCHEDULE:- Recruitment rally will be conducted with effect from 12
February to 21 February 2018. Tehsil and Sub Tehsil wise schedule will be published in news
paper after online Application/Registration closure dates. Date and time for participation in the
rect rally will be mentioned on admit card of the candidates.
The rally gate will be opened from
2:00AM to 7:00AM only
3. AGE OF THE CANDIDATES AS ON 01 OCTOBER 2017 SHOULD BE :-
(a) Soldier General Duty - 17 ½ to 21 years (Born between 01 Oct 1996 to 01
Apr 2000).
(b) Soldier Clerk/SKT - 17 ½ to 23 years (Born between 01 Oct 1994 to
01 Apr 2000)
4. PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT:- For recruitment in the Army candidate height should be
163 Cms for Soldier GD,
162 Cms for Sol Clk/SKT and 157 Cms for Soldier GD (Gorkha).
Minimum weight 48 Kg and Chest 77 Cms and Chest expansion 5 Cms must be compulsory for
all cat candidates.
5. EDUCATIONAL
QUALIFICATION:-
(a) Soldier General Duty:-
(i) Matric with 45% marks in aggregate (without mentioning any specific subject) and
33% marks in each subject.
(ii) No stipulation of percentage required if higher qualification i.e. 10+2 and above.
(iii) For CBSE, min of D grade (33-40) in indl subjects and overall aggregate of
C-2 grade or 4.75 pts.
(b) Soldier General Duty (Indian Domicile Gorkha) :- 10th Class simple pass.

(c) Soldier Clerk/ SKT:-
(i) Should have secured 50% in each subject and 60% in aggregate in Class XII.
(ii) Should have studied English and Maths/Accts/Book Keeping in Class X or XII.
Should have secured min 50% in each of these subjects, whether it
was studied in Class X or XII.
(iii) If a candidate is a graduate but not having English and Maths/Accts/Book
Keeping then he should have scored more than 50% in English and
Maths/Accts/Book Keeping earlier in class X or XII.
(iv) Even if a candidate is a graduate or has a higher qualification percentage
marks scored in Class XII would be applicable towards his eligibility.
(v) For Class XII overall aggregate should be 60% i.e. C-1 grade & grade point 6
CGPA.
6. Candidates Should Bring Following Documents For Recruitment :-
(a) Education Certificate.
(i) Original mark sheet of Matric/10+2 certificate alongwith Three photocopy.
(ii) Candidates studied from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS),
required to produce transfer certificate(TC)of class 8th / 9th
issued by principal
,signed by Block Elementary Education Officer (BEEO) and countersigned by the
concerned District Education Officer (DEO) to authenticate its correctness.
(iii) Mark sheet downloaded from computer must be signed by concerned school
principal.
(b) Permanent Residence/Nativity/Domicile (Himachal Bonafide) certificate
Original Permanent Residence/Nativity/Domicile (Himachal Bonafide) certificate duly
signed by Naib Tehsildar /Tehsildar/SDM in original will be accepted
computerized online duly mentioned logo and registration No only with Three
photocopy.
(c) Dogra Class certificate. Dogra Class certificate duly signed by Naib
Tehsildar/Tehsildar/SDM in original will be accepted computerized online duly mentioned
logo and registration No only with Three photocopy.
(d) Caste Certificate.
(i) Caste certificate signed by SDM / Tehsildar / Naib Tehsildar if a candidate
belongs to SC/ST/OBC in original will be accepted computerized online duly
mentioned logo and registration No only with Three photocopy.

(ii) Minority Community Certificate and Caste Certificate both signed by SDM
/Tehsildar/ Naib Tehsildar if candidate belongs to Sikh and Sikh (M&R)
community in original will be accepted computerized online duly mentioned logo and
registration No only with Three photocopy. Sikh and Sikh (M&R) candidates will also
bring Minority certificate of their parents.
(e) Indian Gorkha Candidate. Caste certificate issued by SDM/Tehsildar/ Naib
Tehsildar alongwith Sub - Caste cert issued by Gorkha Association. Caste /Sub Caste
will also be brought duly attested/countersigned by the Notary in original alongwith three
photocopy
(f) Minority Community Certificate and Caste Certificate both signed by
SDM/Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar if candidate belongs to Muslim community in original will
be accepted computerized online duly mentioned logo and registration No only with Three
photocopy.
(g) Character certificate. Character certificate duly signed by SDM/Tehsildar/Naib
Tehsildar and should be within 6 months from date of rally (between 12 Aug 2017 to Rally
date) in original will be accepted computerized online duly mentioned logo and registration
No only with Three photocopy.
(h) Unmarried certificate duly signed by self, parents / guardian & countersigned by
village Sarpanch with seal.
(j) NCC certificate. NCC certificate holders should produce original certificates
alongwith Three photocopy.
(k) Sports certificates. Sports certificate alongwith Gradation Certificate from
Director, Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Himachal Pradesh should not be more than
two years old from the date of rally. No Relaxation/Bonus Marks will be awarded to any
Sports Certificate Holder without Gradation Certificates from Director, Department of Sports
& Youth Affairs, Himachal Pradesh.
(l) Caste Certificate/Affidavit signed by SDM/Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar if candidate
belongs to Brahman and Rajput with Three photocopy.
(m) Candidate below the age of 18 years should bring the certificate duly signed by the
parents / guardians and attested by village sarpanch stating that the “I am sending my son
Name _________date of birth ________for recruitment in Army on my own interest
and there is no objection on him joining the Army. I shall not ask for any
compensation due to any injury / illness sustained by my son during screening”.
(n) Photocopies of All Documents.
All candidates must carry minimum 03x
photocopies of all above documents self attested alongwith original documents.
(o) Photographs. 20 recent coloured passport size photographs showing both the
ears of the candidate with name and date of birth printed on the photographs and attested
by village sarpanch on reverse of the photographs. Different size of photographs/scanned
photographs/attested in front of photos will not be accepted. SIKH and SIKH (M&R)
candidate photographs should be with turban/Putka and he should also carry two joint
photographs in turban with his parents.

(p) Relationship Certificate. Sons of Servicemen/Ex-Servicemen/Widows/War
Widows have to produce Original Relationship Certificate issued by Chief Record Officer /
Senior Records Officer mentioning their name and date of birth alongwith its Three
photocopy.
(q) Aadhar Card, PAN Card and Saving Bank Account. All candidate are must
in possession of Original and 03 x photocopies of Aadhar Card, PAN Card and Pass Book
of Saving Bank Account or at least should have applied for the same (Copy of receipt
should be produced).
(r) O+ Level Computer. O+ level computer certificate issued by the DOEACC for
Sol Clk/SKT, if any, will be produced in original for claiming relaxation.
(s) Copy of Admit Card compulsory. Admit Card to be printed (Black & White) on
A4 size paper (preferably 70 GSM/600DPI laser qualities). Admit Card is NOT TO BE
FOLDED. Bar Code should be printed clearly on the Admit Card.
(t) No internet downloaded mark sheet/other documents accepted.
(u) Candidate should mention the date, place of rally in admit card with individual
signature.
(v) All candidates will carry online registration application.
(w) Any mistake in application form and certificate will be supported by affidavit duly
signed by SDM/Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar.
(x) Affidavit duly signed by the candidate on the non-judicial stamp paper duly
attested by a Notary would be submitted as per format given.
7. Medical Examination. Medical examination will be conducted for all successful
candidates in Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test and Document check.
8. Tatoos. Candidates having with a engraving /Tatoos of name or religious symbol on any
part of the body (Less inner face of forearm i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse
of palm/back) will be debarred from recruitment in the Army.
9. Drug Consumption. Candidates are liable to screened for use of physical performance
enhancing drugs during rally.
10. Beware Of Touts. Recruitment in Army is free, fair and purely based on merit only. All
Candidates are advised to be careful of touts and middle men. Any body being approach by a tout
should report the matter Army Recruiting Office, Palampur or Headquarters Recruiting Zone,
Ambala.

10+2 / Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject. (simple pass in 10+2 with requisite subjects is acceptable upto 31 Mar 2013).

Indian Army Soldier Clerk / Store Keeper Technical

10+2 / Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject. Should have studied and passed English and Maths/Accts/Book Keeping in Cl X or Cl XII with 40% marks in each subject. In case of graduate with Maths and English as subject in BSc, the stipulation of 40% in Cl X or Cl XII is waived off. In case of graduate without English and Maths/Accts/Book Keeping, he should have scored more than 40% in English and Maths/Accts/Book Keeping at least once in Cl X or Cl XII.
