Assembly Elections 2012 – Congress announced Candidates for Punjab
Out of Punjab Assembly's 117 seats, Congress has announced candidates for 114 seats. Many Congress Big wigs were able to get tickets to their relatives.
Capt Amarinder Singh’s son, Rajinder Kaur Bhattal’s Son in Law, Mahinder Singh KP’s Wife, Pratap Singh Bajwa’s wife are among the few who got the tickets for Punjab Assembly Elections 2012.
Mahinder Singh KP's wife Suman has been fielded from Amritsar West. Pratap Singh Bajwa's wife Charanjit Kaur is contesting from Kadian. Amarinder Singh's son Ranindra Singh who lost the Bathinda Lok Sabha seat has given ticket from Smana. Arvind Khanna who is in good books of Amrinder Singh will contest from Dhuri. He wanted Khanna Seat but that was given to Gurkirat Singh, the grandson of Beant Singh.
Bikram Singh the son-in-Law of Rajinder Kaur Bhattal will contest Assembly Election from Sahnewal. Son of former chief minister Harcharan Brar Karan Brar's wife will contest from Muktsar. Ripjit Jagmeet Brar's brother got a ticket for Kotkpura Seat. Former president Shamsher Singh Dulo managed to get tickets for his wife Harbans Kaur Dulo for Bassi Pathana.Seat. Congress has given Assembly Tickets to 11 women Candidates

Candidates for three seats Bhoa, Mansa and Sujanpur seats has not been decided yet
